Confirmed!

Alya's red dots aren't getting any better.

I again have to be on leave despite hubby who is already on leave today. Alya is not in a good mood at all especially after those sleepless nights. Last night, she cried her lung out and only drink milk once instead of every 4 hours.

We then decide to bring her for another check up and this time to a private hospital.. After a few hospital huntings and callings (read: most private hosp close by noon), we then went to Tawakal Hosp.

The doctor confirmed to us that it is HFMD and there're ulcers in her mouth as well! No wonder she cried at nights. Those ulcers must be making her uncomfy.

These are photos for today's update:

Due to the ulcers in her mouth, her food need to be in liquid form again. Since she's in pain, I've cooked her her most favorite porridge..

Here's the recipe of the porridge (melunaskan hutang permintaan Sis Mone.. hehehe):

1. Cook the porridge as usual.
2. Put in small diced potatoes, carrots and celery.
3. Put in also small diced of chicken.
4. Add in just a little bit of rempah sup (yg serbuknya)
5. Cook until the porridge and all the vege is soft.
6. Blend up to baby's age..

And there wallaaa~... Bon Apetite

Macaroni, Broccoli & Beef

MACARONI, BROCCOLI & BEEF
(6 to 12 months old)

1. Rebus macaroni with oil until it's soft.
2. Hiris nipis² the meat and rebus with just a little bit of water.
3. When the meat is tender, put in broccoli.
4. Then blend the macaroni, meat & broccoli together. And not to forget, add a little bit oil in the mix.
5. Add a little bit of the beef stock if it's too dry. Blend to suit your babies.

Alya as for now loves the recipe as this meal has a lots of textures. I have never cook her any beef before, just chicken. So, let us just see whether will she likes the beef? Will update you!

Porridge with Spinach

PORRIDGE WITH SPINACH & ANCHOVY
(6 months and above)
1. Masak beras seperti masak bubur.
2. Masukkan ikan bilis yg telah dibersihkan into the porridge so that all the taste of the anchovy will mix with the porridge.
3. When the porridge almost nak dried up, masuk kan spinach yg dah dipotong kecik.
4. Blend mengikut kesesuaian baby.
Perasan x, I've been giving recipe with anchovy only nowadays? Sebabnya, haven't had time to get her chicken. Later, I'll post in some yummy recipe with chicken, ok?

Ikan Bilis Goreng

To add a taste to baby's porridge, you can also add on some fried anchovy.

METHODS:
1. Goreng ikan bilis (preferably jenis yg besar dan putih) dengan minyak sehingga garing. Make sure the ikan bilis are clean from any bones or whatsoever~
2. Blend halus...
3. For less than 9 months, it is advisable to tapis the blend ikan bilis.
4. Next, you can tabur in any of her porridge as an additional taste as they can't consume any salt nor sugar..

I don't know bout other babies, but Alya sure do her porridge with a little bit of this ikan bilis as this brings out the nice aroma.. Bon Appetite~

BUBUR NASI DENGAN BROKOLI DAN IKAN BILIS
(for 6 to 9 months old)

1. Masak beras seperti masak bubur.
2. Pastikan ikan bilis telah dibuang tulang nya dan cuci sampi bersih.
3. Masuk kan ikan bilis ke dalam bubur yg sedang masak tadi.
4. Brokoli yg telah dicuci pon dimasuk bila bubur dah nak bertukar lembik. So that the brocoli x overcook smpi hilang die nya vitamin.
5. The end result, ikan bilis tuh dah keputihan and ada yg hancur, bubur lembik and brokoli lembut.
6. Blend mengikut kesesuaian baby.

TIPS: It is best to cook vegetable with the lid on to avoid all the vitamins gone.

Porridge with fish

BUBUR NASI DAN IKAN TENGGIRI
(9 to 12 mths, i would say)

1. Masak beras seperti masak bubur biasa.
2. Masuk kan ikan tenggiri.
3. Bila kedua²nya sudah masak, kisar ke tahap yang sesuai untuk bayi anda.

TIPS: Since baby this age dah past 2 stages in eating, they love to eat things with some texture. My advice is not too smooth.

This is the most simple-est baby food I've ever made! And not to forget, the only meal without vege at all. You can also add on oil in the porridge as babies need oil as to boost up their energy.
